2009 Autumn Rally Recap
Rally Recap
Thanks to all who attended the 2009 Autumn Rally - it was a rocking and rolling grand time! If you are one who attends Thunder Beach on a regular basis, then you know we added some pretty cool new things this time. This Autumn marked the 1st semi-annual Kick Start Party held at the beautiful Shores of Panama, followed by an after-party at our newest venue Pineapple Willy's. Shores of Panama was host to some of the most beautiful ladies competing in our first preliminary round of the Miss Thunder Beach Autumn 2009 Pageant series. Eli rocked the house until 9pm, then we all went over to Pineapple Willy's for free Hors D'oeuvres, drink specials and more live music. Can't wait until Spring Rally 2010 when we can do it all over again. The people at Shores of Panama were so excited and happy to host the bikers that they are already planning on what they can do to make your visit better in the Spring!!!
Thanks to Pineapple Willy's and Black Jack Custom Cycles for really stepping up to the plate to help a local charity called the Sponsors of Hope! Together, they raffled off a 2009 Harley-Davidson XL883 and raised $15,000 for the Sponsors of Hope. Thanks to all who participated in this raffle. The place was packed as the New Miss Thunder Beach pulled the winning ticket. Congratulations to Chris Watson of Columbus, GA - enjoy your new ride and we hope you bring that shiny new bike back in the Spring!
Thanks to the Thunder Angels, Legion Riders 392, Newby's Too and Full Throttle Magazine for working closely with Thunder Beach Productions to host our first semi-annual Breast Cancer Benefit! It sure was fun and we are thankful to the Legion Riders 392 for hosting a great scenic ride, to the Thunder Angels and Newby's Too for hosting our first Biker Ball Bash and the beautiful Miss Thunder Beach and her three runners up for doing the Bikini Bike Wash at Newby's Too - in bikinis and high heels! We had so much fun planning and attending this event - we are excited to bring it back in Spring 2010, so start getting your best biker apparel ready now!
Hope many of you got out to Frank Brown Park to enjoy music by Black Berry Smoke on Saturday afternoon. It sure was great to have them out there! As always, Frank Brown Park was a busy place with a lot of cool vendors, great food and daily performances by Kyle and Cody Ives Stunt Team and Nick Lee's World Burnout Tour.
Pier Park hosted the Best of the Beach Bike Show, sponsored by Steel Horse Law, with 56 bikes participating in several classes and the turn out to view the chromed beauties created a bike show in itself! Fun was had by all as they strolled the streets to check out the impressive line of bikes packed into the parking spaces lining the main drag of Pier Park.
Edgewater was rocking and rolling with the live stage - King Cotton rocked the house on Friday evening and Rebel Syndicate was a regular favorite on Saturday. Rock'It Lanes held its first semi-annual bike show on Friday afternoon and 20 bikes participated. Thank you American Legion 392 for organizing such a great event. Watch this to continue every rally and join in to compete for cash and prizes.
Sharky's hosted the Miss Thunder Beach Preliminary on Thursday and the house was packed as 11 stunning ladies strutted their stuff in hopes to capture a spot in the Miss Thunder Beach finals! There was live music at the Tiki Bar right on the beach every night during the rally and great drink specials!
Club La Vela became an Official Thunder Beach Venue beginning with the Spring 2009 Rally and is fast becoming a favorite of the bikers. With the addition of Pineapple Willy's and Club La Vela, it's a great way to cruise the Beach.
Congratulations to Shaleah - Miss Thunder Beach Autumn 2009! Shaleah won the title of Miss Thunder Beach at the Friday finals held at the Boardwalk Beach Resort. Boardwalk also held the semi-annual Lingerie Shows - Thursday, Friday and Saturday afternoons, but this year the models were the four stunning finalists from the Miss Thunder Beach Preliminaries. Friday was action packed at the Boardwalk, with the Lingerie Show, the Full Throttle Freaky at the Tiki Party that rolled right into a packed house for the Final Round of the Miss Thunder Beach Pageant.
Thank you to American Legion Riders 392, The Thunder Angels, The Red Knights, The Defenders, White Sands Riders and The Patriot Guard for all of your help during our event. We look forward to continuing a long relationship with all of you.
